Cactus

Hi all!

I have to admit that I can't caring plants, so that's the reason why I have decided to make one that will be impossible to wither: a cactus made of fabric. This is the first I've done and I think it's not so bad, although someone has ordered another one and I expect it will be nicer than this.

Also I have to put it in a appropiate pot, I had to improvise with the things I had at home. I hope you like it!

Banderines / Pennants

Hi again,

today i will show you one of my ideas that i wanted to implement some time ago, but for time reasons it always got delayed. I know that it's not original and i've not invented anything new, but i needed to sew my own pennants and make them decorate my place.

I don't know if it can be accurately appreciated in the picture, i've combined flat colours with lines and dots in red, gray and pink. This way they don't clash with the living room's furniture.

I hope you like them as much as i do :)

Creando mi espacio / Creating my own space

As I told you on my first post, I have recently moved to Nowway and so I had to move all my belongings and most difficult of all, find them a place in an apartment of 40m2.

However, I have experienced this as an opportunity that I needed to finally place and have everything just the way I like. I knew that I needed a desk and a shelf where you can have all the materials, fabrics and tools that I used in my "projects".

My sister has a passion for scrapbooking and thank her I discovered the washitape, ribbons decorated paper that can be pasted anywhere, so I have used to define the working area of the table and to stick to the boxes around labels to identify what is inside.

At first, this was the result of the organization of materials. Although it is clear that as time passes
and as the needs will change.

And here you have the result of the desk. The sewing machine and the laminator for polimer clay is what I want to have ready to use them.

It's not finished at all, because I have a few ideas that I have to implement to look my original idea, but slowly.
I leave you a hint: the frame you see hanging on the wall is not there by chance ...

Un beso / Kisses

Mi estreno en la red / My debut on the network

Hi all!

This blog was created with the purpose of showing my progress in the world of crafts. At the moment I have made my first steps with polymer clay, felt, jewelry and my sewing machine.

You don't have to think that I'm a "master", i am just curious and due to my job (I'm a computer sciencentist), that kind of hobbies made me discover how self-rewarding is doing something with your owns hands.

I'm going to introduce myself to let you know who lies behind this blog:
My name is Vanessa and I was born 29 years ago in Mallorca where I lived until 23 before moving to Barcelona to complete my studies in Computer Science. The last year of my degree I met the man who I consider "my love" and he is the reason why I recently moved to Trondheim (Norway). As you can see I'm not afraid of new challenges, and now I have to learn English, maybe Norwegian, and find a job ... Oh, my God!

Now that you know who I am, I can just say that I hope that you enjoy the things I do. I will accept any advice or suggestion from your side.

 A big hug and welcome!
